Adipurush, the mere mention of this title now sparks intense discussions about the film’s lackluster visual effects and cringeworthy dialogues. Fans are left scratching their heads, trying to unravel the enigma behind lines like “kapda tere baap ka, tel tere baap ka, aag tere baap ki aur jalegi teri baap ki.” Seriously, what on earth do they even mean?
But hey, the power of public opinion can work wonders! In response to the immense backlash, the brilliant minds behind Adipurush decided to take matters into their own hands. The filmmakers and writers collectively agreed to revamp those offensive dialogues that had unintentionally hurt religious sentiments. Kudos to their sensitivity!
Taking their mission for improvement seriously, they swiftly filed an application with none other than the Central Board of Film Certification. Yes, they sought official permission to make these necessary modifications. And guess what? The ever-wise board, following the rules laid out in the Film Certification Rulebook (Rule 33, to be precise), graciously accepted their humble request. Cheers to a second chance!

In an official statement, the team expressed their appreciation for the public’s and audience’s input, emphasizing the value they place on their feedback. As a result, they have chosen to make modifications to the film’s dialogues.
“The makers are revisiting the said dialogues, ensuring to resonate with core essence of the film and the same will reflect in the theaters in the next few days. This decision is a testament that inspite of unstoppable collections at the Box Office, the team is committed and nothing is beyond the sentiments of their audiences and harmony at large.”
Since the release of the Prabhas starrer on June 16, 2023, the movie’s writer, Manoj Muntashir Shukla, has faced intense criticism. He has been targeted with death threats on social media and by the Karni Sena, prompting him to be placed under police protection. Shukla took to Twitter to address the threats he received and expressed his dismay at being attacked for his creative work.
He wrote, “I wrote dialogues of more than 4000 lines in Adipurush, some sentiments got hurt due to 5 lines. In those hundreds of lines, where Shri Ram was glorified, Maa Sita’s chastity was described, praise was also to be received for her, which I don’t know why I did not get…I can give countless arguments in favor of my dialogues, but this will not reduce your pain. The producer, director, and I of the film have decided that some of the dialogues which are hurting you. We’ll revise them, and they’ll be added to the film this week,”
