Constipation is a common problem found in people. It is due to the fibre shortage. They find it difficult to have bowel movements. Sometimes it becomes so severe that a person has less than one bowel movement per week. It causes bloating, gas and pain while passing bowel movements. 3. Baked Potato

Baked potato with the skin doesn’t give you constipation. Skip the fried potatoes.

4. Whole Grains

Whole grains are rich in fibre. Oats, bran, barley, and brown rice are the best foods to avoid constipation.

5. Nuts

Nuts are full of fibre and magnesium. The high amount of these gives relief from constipation.

6. High-Fiber Cereal

Cereals are a good option for a healthy breakfast. They keep the body fit and fight constipation.

7. Flaxseeds

Flaxseeds are ideal digestive aid due to the presence of dietary fibres in them. They have been used as a remedy for constipation.

8. Chia seeds

Chia seeds contain both soluble and insoluble fibres. They form a gel when they come into contact with water which further makes them easier to pass.

9. Beans, peas, and lentils

The soluble and insoluble fibres present in them make the process easier and add bulk to the stool. You can add these to your salad or in your soup but make sure that these are part of your diet.
