This film showcased flawed modern-day romance in such a way that the masses loved it. The film is the story of every other person today. The critics applauded Abhishek Bachchan’s acting in the film and if you haven’t watched it yet, it’s time to watch it today.
The movie revolves around a child suffering from Progeria (Ambitabh Bachchan) and how his family comes together. While the child lives with his mother (Vidya Balan) and grandmother, Abhishek Bachchan played the role of his father in the film.

J.P. Dutta’s Refugee marked both Abhishek Bachchan and Kareena Kapoor Khan’s debut in the Indian film industry in 2000. The film features Abhishek playing the role of an illegal guide who smuggles people across the Indo-Pak border. Even though the film didn’t do great at the box office, Bachchan was admired for his natural performance in the film.
7. Bob Biswas
His latest release showed him as the character of Kahani, assassin Bob Biswas which was quite different from the roles he has done in his career. He rocked the middle-aged man look in this thriller, with a potbelly glasses and straight long hair.
While the movie is pretty dumb, we loved the two guys in the movie. They are both sweet and handsome all at the same time and have great fashion sense (maybe because they played gay). Abhishek sported floral shirts way before it was a trend, and sported stubble and short curly hair.
Directed by Anurag Basu, Ludo is a black comedy dark film starring Abhishek Bachchan, Rajkummar Rao, Pankaj Tripathi, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Sanya Malhotra and Aditya Roy Kapur in the lead. The film follows four different stories and how they get intertwined due to a sex tape and a suitcase full of money.
10. Big Bull
The film was inspired by controversial stockbroker Harshad Mehta’s life and featured Abhishek in the role of a person from a humble background who becomes a ‘market manipulator’. While the Kookie Gulati-helmed wasn’t a flawless attempt at storytelling, it gave the star a canvass to showcase his abilities.
11. Bunty Aur Babli
Abhishek played the role of a petty thief in Shaad Ali’s crime-comedy, which revolved around the exploits of two cons. He did justice to his part, complementing Rani Mukerji – who played Babli – quite well. The movie kept the audience hooked with its twists and turns, emerging as a big hit. Its sequel, which featured Saif Ali Khan as ‘Bunty’, hit the screens last year and bombed at the box office.
Another gem directed by Mani Ratnam starred Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Bachchan in the film. Though the film didn’t do well on the box office, the critics were all praises for Abhishek’s performance and gripping storyline.
With ‘Breathe: Into The Shadows’, Abhishek Bachchan made his digital debut. “A father’s love can save a life… or take one,” sets the tone for this dark and gritty series.
Dasvi is a Hindi movie starring Abhishek Bachchan, Yami Gautam and Nimrat Kaur in prominent roles. Abhishek Bachchan earned appreciation for his power-packed performance as an illiterate chief minister, who decides to complete his studies while in jail.
