In the glitzy world of Bollywood, success and failure often go hand in hand. While some actors manage to create a lasting impact and enjoy a successful career, others find themselves struggling to revive their stardom. In this article, we take a closer look at eight Bollywood actors who, for various reasons, ended up ruining their own careers. From poor career choices to controversial behavior, or personal controversies and personal setbacks, these actors faced significant hurdles that impacted their journey in the film industry.

Govinda

Govinda, once hailed as the ‘King of Comedy,’ experienced a downfall in his career due to a string of poorly chosen films. His shift towards low-budget and poorly executed projects, coupled with his reported unprofessional behavior, alienated both audiences and filmmakers. Kangana Ranaut

Known for her bold and outspoken nature, Kangana Ranaut’s career took a hit due to her controversial statements and public feuds with industry insiders. While her acting prowess garnered critical acclaim, her off-screen persona often overshadowed her work. Ranaut’s constant controversies and divisive opinions created a polarizing image, which affected her marketability and potential collaborations in the industry. Even talented actors like Sonu Sood and talented makers like Hansal Mehta has called working with Kangana Ranaut a massive mistake. In the recent times, Kangana has also suffered back to back flops because of her poorly executed assignments.

Uday Chopra

Uday Chopra, son of renowned filmmaker Yash Chopra, failed to establish himself as a leading actor in Bollywood. Despite initial success in the Dhoom franchise, Uday’s subsequent film choices, such as the ill-fated “Pyaar Impossible,” failed to resonate with audiences. His limited range as an actor and a lack of significant roles further hindered his career progression.

Ameesha Patel

Ameesha Patel burst onto the scene with her debut film “Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai” and garnered widespread recognition. However, she struggled to capitalize on her early success and became synonymous with box office failures. Patel’s inability to choose substantial roles and her alleged unprofessional behavior on film sets contributed to her downfall in the industry.

Mallika Sherawat

Mallika Sherawat gained attention for her bold on-screen persona and provocative roles. While her initial films like “Murder” and “Pyaar Ke Side Effects” earned her recognition, her subsequent choices failed to live up to expectations. Sherawat’s career suffered due to her limited acting skills and an over-reliance on her sensuality, which led to typecasting and a lack of substantial roles.
