No one can deny that music plays a critical role in Bollywood movies. Infact, there have been times, when music has been the only highlight in the past. So, here are some of the not-so-great movies that may not have a strong plotline, but definitely had a great soundtrack.

1. Jhoom Barabar Jhoom

The only thing that you would like to remember from this movie would be the title song, ‘Jhoom Barabar’ and ‘Bol Na Halke Halke’!

2. Kareeb

No one would deny that the songs like ‘Chura Lo Na Dil Mera’ and ‘Chori Chori Jab Nazrein Mili’, made us fall in love.

3. Jhankaar Beats

Many may not know that this multi-starrer film failed to impress the audience when it was released at the box office. But, the movie definitely has great tracks. Melodious ‘Tu Aashiqui Hai’ and ‘Suno Na’, will always have a special place in our hearts.

4. Baar Baar Dekho

Despite having a stellar star cast, this movie bombed at the box office. Its only saving grace were songs like ‘Kala Chashma’, and romantic numbers like ‘Sau Aasman’ and ‘Dariya’

5. Anwar

The movie may have been critically acclaimed but it tanked at the box office and failed to impress the audience. But the songs – ‘Tose Naina Lage’ and ‘Maula Mere Maula’ are still some of our favorite romantic songs ever.

6. Shaandaar

Despite starring actors like Alia Bhatt and Shahid Kapoor, this movie tanked at box office. Though the movie couldn’t make any place in our hearts, its songs like ‘Gulabo’ and ‘Shaam Shaandaar’ definitely did!

7. Yaadein

Another overhyped movie that miserably tanked at the box office. The movie may have disappointed, but not the songs! ‘Yeh Yaadein Kisi Dil-O-Jaanam Ke Chale Jaane Ke Baad Aati Hain’ sung beautifully by Hariharan touches our soul every time.

8. Fitoor

Another Katrina Kaif movie that failed to impress the audience. Except for the good soothing music, lyrics, and cinematography, this movie was a complete waste of time and money!

9. Roy

It was difficult to accept that a film starring talented actors like Ranbir Kapoor and Arjun Rampal couldn’t spell its magic at the box-office. But, the songs, ‘Sooraj Dooba Hain’, ‘Tu Hai Ki Nahi’, and of course ‘Chittiyaan Kalaiyaan’, became super-hit!

10. Saawariya

Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s movie, Saawariya, marked the debut of Ranbir Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor. Though the movie suffered a great blow at the box-office, its songs – ‘Saawariya’, ‘Jab Se Tere Naina’ and ‘Masha-Allah’ definitely made a place in our hearts!
