The trailer of the most awaited movie “Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl” is out now, and features Janhvi Kapoor in the lead role.
The movie is set to release on 12th August on Netflix and is based on the real-life story of the Flight Lieutenant IAF Officer – Gunjan Saxena. She made history as she flew into a combat zone during the Kargil War. A feat that had not been allowed for or achieved by a lady officer in the IAF till then.
The trailer beautifully captures the undying spirit of Gunjan Saxena who tried to break the barriers of gender to conquer the Indian skies and serve the country. The movie also stars Pankaj Tripathi as Gunjan’s father; and Angad Bedi, Vineet Kumar Singh, and Ayesha Raza in pivotal roles.

Gunjan made history with her confidence & courage. She was later awarded the Shaurya Chakra- an Indian military decoration awarded for bravery, courageous action or self-sacrifice while not engaging directly with the enemy.
