The series beautifully captures the highs and lows in this mother-daughter lives and leaves you not only touched but also inspired.
Here are some heart-touching beautiful life lessons that “Masaba Masaba” leaves you with:
# No one has a PERFECT Life, We All Stumble – ‘Messiness’ Is Good!
We tend to believe that the lives of celebrities are perfect. In the midst of limelight and Instagram updates, we may tend to believe that their life is easy and pretty. But, this show serves an eye-opener to the fact that the lives of celebrities are no different than ours. Be it being replaced in the movies or struggle with personal life trauma, the Guptas’ life is nothing close to perfect.
In a scene, when Neena Gupta’s friends excitedly announce positive news in their lives, Neena, in a very soft voice, shares her visit to the Farah Khan’s office for a potential role. In a moment, her friend interrupts and breaks the news that the role went to another actor. Neena Gupta’s face conveys a silent heartbreak but how she handles her failure with such grace and humility, leaves you inspired.
The show leaves you with a clear message: Like us, the Guptas also fail and stumble in their personal as well as professional lives. But, they gather their courage to take over the world to fight the battle to pursue their dreams.
# Stand Up & Face Your Fears
There are moments in life when we tend to run away from the thing that we are scared of the most – failure. Be it a bad personal decision or a career move, we tend to shut our eyes and avoid facing it. Because it takes a lot of courage to stand up and own up to your mistakes and set them right. And, this show tends to capture this metamorphosis of Masaba so beautifully – the time when she realizes that she tends to run away from owning up things in her life. From her professional hiccups to personal life hurdles, it is inspiring how she finally gathers herself together to own up her life and face her fears.
# Don’t Wait For Others To Rescue You, Rescue Yourself
This is one of the most inspiring moments in the series – the moment when Neena Gupta gathers the courage and put up a bold post asking for work. This post created an online stir as well in 2017. In the show, it was difficult to understand what must have gone through her mind, while putting up that post. But through Masaba’s lens, we realize that it must have taken a tremendous amount of courage for the National Award-winning actor to admit no work was coming her way.
In her 60s now, how Neena Gupta did not shy away from asking for work, shows how we need to become our own heroes.
# You Need To Stand For Yourself
Be it standing up to her investors or her real estate agent while looking for work, Masaba did not leave a single chance to inspire us to stand for ourselves. In the scene, when she fearlessly marches to a investors’ meeting after a disastrous fashion show and assures them it is not over and she will resurrect her brand and fashion line ‘Hot Mess’, you are inspired to stand for yourself and your dreams.
