Bollywood’s obsession with superstars is the key reason why many people have stopped watching Hindi movies. With sub-standard acting skills, our so-called superstars are not able to engage the audience anymore. And, the failure of superstar movies in recent times is just a reminder of that.
While the superstars may have disappointed the audience, there are some talented actors who’ve made Bollywood worth watching. With their powerful performance, these talented actors gave life to their characters and made their presence felt. But Bollywood is yet to give these talented actors the credit they deserve.
Here are some such underrated talented actors, whom we would love to see more on-screen. We hope Bollywood will give them the chance they deserve and offer them some critical meaty roles.

Jimmy Shergill has played a number of memorable characters in the last two decades of his presence in Bollywood. But the industry never tried to give a fair chance to this talented actor. We wish he gets the meaty roles he deserves in the coming years.

Thanks to OTT, talented Shefali Shah received her due credit. But, many Bollywood movies have wasted her talent. By casting her in the role of actor’s mother or side roles, Bollywood movies have denied her the screen time she deserves.
5. Tisca Chopra
Tisca Chopra did one mistake early in her career – playing a mom. She showed her prowess as an actor while playing the role of Ishan’s mother in Taare Zameen Par. The pain she brought to the screen was something that many actors can’t. We feel talented actors like Tisca Chopra deserve more challenging roles!

Even though her filmography includes some of the finest movies, mainstream films failed to write a good role for Shome. From her debut film, Monsoon Wedding to the critically acclaimed Qissa, or the recently released, Sir, Shome has shown that she is a real powerhouse of talent.
8. Jitendra Kumar
Jeetu bhaiya doesn’t need any introduction. He made his Bollywood debut with “Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhaan”, and stole our hearts once again. Ofcourse everyone remembers his acting from web-series like “Kota Factory”, “Panchaayat”, and “TVF Pitchers”.

10. Divya Dutta
We all noticed Divya Dutta in her roles as Shabbo in “Veer Zaara”. Since then Divya has entertained us in movies like “Delhi-6”, “Bhaag Milkha Bhaag”, and “Chalk and Duster”. She definitely deserves a lead role in a big movie!
11. Neena Gupta
Neena Gupta needs no introduction. Recently. she made her Bollywood comeback with “Badhaai Ho”. After the success of this movie, she was also seen in multiple-hit web series and movies. Honestly, Neena gives us solid badass vibes and we wish to see her as a leading lady in Bollywood movie.
