It is heartbreaking how often our society fails to recognize the real-life heroes, who live among us. And, what’s even worse is how some shamelessly make fun of them rather celebrating them.

A Delhi man, who was trying to save a stray dog, was called Pagal for taking care of an injured stray dog.
However, the man continued to defend the animal. He says, “Main pagal hun, tumhe main pagal dikhaayi de raha hun, unbolte pashu ki seva karni chahiye humesha (Do I look like a madman to you? One should always serve helpless creatures.”

Anushka Sharma, who has always been a champion for animal causes, applauded and celebrated this man. She wrote on her Instagram story”Pagal toh vo hain jo insaniyat nahi samjhein. Aap toh..(Mad are those who don’t understand humanity, you on the other hand…).”
During the COVID-19 pandemic, when many people were abandoning their pets, Anushka Sharma had shared a powerful message:
“These migrant workers are walking on the Mumbai Nasik Highway along with their belongings. So next time when you think to give up your pet who you ‘loved like your own child’ just remember this picture”, she wrote on Instagram.

In times when people hardly care about their fellow humans, this man – who is leaving no stone unturned in saving stray animals – is the hero our humanity needs! We hope many more would seek inspiration from him and come forward to save and protect the meek and vulnerable!
