How can we forget to mention the various Bollywood movies, which have managed to showcase stupid things that women do, but those never happen in real life! Here are just a few out of many things that women do in Bollywood movies, that hardly ever happen in real life, EVER!
1. Women falling in love with their stalker
From R… Rajkumar to Badrinath Ki Dulhania to many more, Bollywood has showcased how if you stalk the girl enough, she will eventually fall in love with you! Rather than being angry with unwanted advance, the women are shown to fall in love with their stalker. Dear Bollywood, here’s a news for you – in real life, women don’t fall in love with their stalkers. Rather we prefer to take a stand against them and get them arrested!
2. Woman marrying the man, who kidnapped and, almost, killed her
How could we forget the most disturbing thing about Badrinath Ki Dulhania? Remember the shocking scene when Badri kidnaps Vaidehi and how she is okay with him and later, even marries him. Why? Women in Bollywood movies might marry their kidnappers, but it doesn’t happen in real life!
3. Women waking up looking perfect
It is quite stupid how Bollywood shows girls in movies waking up as they have just come from the salon? Seriously? Have movie-makers ever seen a woman who has just woken up in the morning? Neither are our hair blow-dried nor do we wear makeup!
4. Women having no career goals except falling in love
Sadly, in most Bollywood masala movies, the female lead just exists. Even if she has a job, she doesn’t have any career goals. She is just expected to look good, fall in love and eventually become an arm candy! Dear Bollywood, women in real life are much more capable and empowered than most of your female leads!
5. Women wearing short dresses in the snow
From wearing chiffon sarees in the Alps to wearing short dresses in snow, women, in reality, don’t do any of these stupid things! Bollywood movie-makers, are you listening?
6. Women falling in love with men, who just love their clothes & makeover
Be it Main Hoon Na or Kuch Kuch Hota Hai or Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani, the Bollywood showcased how girls are okay to be with someone who has just fallen in love with them because of their makeover! Seriously Bollywood makers, women are much smarter! We don’t fall for such shallow men!
7. Women faking cancer just to get away from the guy
While Shraddha Kapoor’s Half Girlfriend failed for many reasons, one of them was Shraddha Kapoor lying to Arjun Kapoor about her cancer just because she had commitment issues. Wasn’t it the stupidest thing to do? Why not just tell him you don’t want to see him again? Who changes the continents or fakes terminal illness just to get away from the guy!
8. Saree-clad Women dancing in the rain
Okay, who dances in the rain wearing their finest sarees? From Raveena Tandon to Katrina Kaif, Bollywood makers are obsessed with saree-clad women dancing in rain! While the real girls worry about ruining their saree in the mud or not tripping over the wet saree, the Bollywood makers try hard to make women look sensual in saree while dancing in rain!
