As per sources, these cotton masks aren’t a substitute for N95 respirators.— tightly fitted devices that filter out 95 percent of airborne particles. These marks are not even as effective as surgical masks. But in the need of the hour, when the country is encountering a shortage in N95 and surgical masks, a handmade cotton mask is indeed the best option to stop the virus from spreading among the public.
