Want to know more about Aisha Chaudhary, the girl who inspired Priyanka Chopra and Farhan Akhtar’s movie, The Sky Is Pink. Read the details further!
The Sky Is Pink, a heart-touching movie of Priyanka Chopra and Farhan Akhtar, is based on a true story. It is a beautiful tribute to a young girl Aisha Chaudhary, her family, and the extraordinary life they lived together.
While sharing her happiness and excitement to play Aisha’s mother in The Sky Is Pink, Priyanka Chopra shared:
“The beauty of this film is that it is the celebration of life instead of the sorrow of death. I knew I had to be a part of this film.”
The movie captures the remarkable journey and struggles of Aisha Chaudhary, the 19-year-old against her illness. Though Aisha lost her life to pulmonary fibrosis in 2015, she is still an inspiration to many of us around the world.
Her book, My Little Epiphanies, which was released just a day before she passed away, captured her quest of finding happiness in everything around her.
In her inspiring TED talk, which Aisha gave in 2014, she shared how she didn’t let the idea of death kill her spirit of life. She shared:
“We’ll be gone. Just at different times, some sooner than the others. If death is the ultimate truth, what should really matter most in life?”
She further added:
“I must confess, that I did wonder if I was going to die.I still smile because I refuse to let this illness get the better of me.”
Her words are truly an inspiration. Watch her complete TED Talk here:
