Anupa Das is the new millionaire of the popular quiz game show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC 12)’. Contestant Anupa Das is the third millionaire and incidentally also the third woman in a row to become crorepati on the game show.
It is quite inspiring how Anupa Das, a 42-year-old teacher from Jagdalpur, Bastar in Chhattisgarh, struggled so much in life but never gave!
Reason Behind Trying Her Luck At KBC
Anupa Das shared that her prime reason to try her luck in KBC was to be able to afford her mother’s cancer treatment. On the show, Anupa reveals that it took her around 20 years to get to the quiz game show’s hot-seat, as tears roll down her cheeks.
Anupa’s Own Life Struggle
Anupa’s life has been anything but easy. She shared how she stayed strong while facing a series of struggles from a failed marriage to her mother’s cancer diagnosis. She also shared how she finally found a new ray of hope in KBC 12 and eventually ended up winning Rs 1 crore.
The 42-year-old attempted all the questions coming her way with utmost confidence and humility. As Amitabh Bachchan announced ‘sahijawaab’ on the Rs 1 crore question, Anupa was not just smiling ear-to-ear but also had tears of joy in her eyes.
Prior to Anupa, two other contestants – both women, Nazia Nasim and IPS officer Mohita Sharma- won Rs 1 crore each in the current season.
