Army Is To Fight With Bad Uncles: Video Of Martyred Soldier’s Daughter Recalling Papa’s Lessons Will Make You Emotional

Our country is celebrating 15-January as Army Day to honor the Indian soldiers for their valor and sacrifice.

Army Day is observed on 15th January as Field Marshal KM Cariappa took command of the Indian Army from General Francis Butcher on the same day in 1949. Here is an inspiring story that proves how selfless Jawans and their families have shown courage.

It takes a brave heart to send your husband, son, father to the battlefield knowing that he might not come back to you ever.

And one of such braveheart is Naina, a daughter who lost her father, Major Akshay Girish in a terror attack in Jammu & Kashmir’s Nagrota in 2016.

Many of us couldn’t contain our emotions when a heart-breaking yet adorable video of Naina capturing her love for her martyred father surfaced on social media.

Over two years after the death of Major Akshay Girish, his mother Meghna Girish shared a video of his daughter Naina remembering her father and repeating the meaning of the “army” that he had explained to her.

When Major Girish was killed, Naina was only two-and-a-half-years-old. And, this video was shot just a year after her father’s death.

In the video, you can see  Naina telling everyone the real meaning of “Army”,

“Army is to make us love. Army is to fight with bad uncles. Army is to help us not get afraid. Army is some who does Jai Hind to everyone,”

Naina’s grandmother Mrs. Girish along with the video mentioned:

“This random video captures innocence and faith. Love is an emotion. Her papa’s love for the Army and Countrymen also stays within her”.

A year after Akshay’s martyrdom, Naina recollects conversations with her papa.

Here she teaches us what ‘Army is…’

This random video captures innocence and faith.

Love is an emotion.

Her papa’s love for the Army and Countrymen also stays within her.

Many netizens shared their awe

I cried a little. I am a father of a 3 years old myself and I can empathize. May Naina achieve best in her life.

This video is definitely a great reminder that Indian soldiers are brave but their parents, wives and kids are no less.

But, what pains us is to know how quickly we forget the contribution of our real heroes.

How quickly we forget the sacrifices?

We pray God will give strength to the families of martyred soldiers, who lost their lives to keep us, our families and our country safe!

Nothing else could have depicted the sacrifice of these Jawans more beautifully that heart-touching song:

Kar chale Hum fidaa jaan-o-tan saathiiyon
Ab tumhaare hawaale watan saathiiyon

Saans thamtii gayii, nabz jamti gayii, phir bhi badhte qadam ko na rukhne diyaa
Kat gaye sar hamaare to kuch gham nahii, sar Himaalaya ka humne na jhukne diyaa

Marte marte rahaa baankpan saathiiyo
Ab tumhaare hawaale watan saathiiyo
