As the deadly coronavirus is rapidly spreading across the globe, many authorities are taking steps to stop the spread of deadly diseases. One such important step is social distancing or self-quarantine.
In the midst of the coronavirus epidemic, senior citizens, who are at the highest risk of infection, are struggling to run regular errands. As it is very important for senior citizens to stay indoors, many may struggle to run their household errands like buying groceries.
Amid the home-quarantine phase, a woman from Banglore has volunteered to help the elderly, reports Hindustan Times.
This inspiring woman has come forward to volunteer to run errands for senior citizens who are under self-quarantine. She further adds how she maintains constant hygiene by washing her hands and commutes only wearing a mask.
She hasn’t only offered to buy groceries but also ensured that the groceries delivered would be safe and protected:
Been thinking of doing this once my isolation is complete, but we need to think of the fact that supplies might be carriers too. Something to ensure it doesn’t affect us or the old folk.

Anyone has elderly parents living in Bangalore? I am happy to check in on them and maybe run some errands. I am neat. I shower twice. I wash my hands (OFTEN). And I commute by cycle while wearing a mask. I can drop off supplies they need outside their homes. DM me.
