Many times we blame the police for their lack of duty towards the citizens of our country, but we hardly celebrate their heroism when they go out of their way to extend a helping hand to us.

Recently, Telangana District Police Chief, Rema Rajeshwari went out of the scope of his duties to help a mother of the 4-months-old baby.

On Sept. 30, the written examinations for the police constable position were being held at the Boys Junior College, Mahabubnagar. One of the aspiring candidates, who belonged to an underprivileged background, came for the examinations with her four-month-old. As there was no one to take care of the baby while the mom writes her exam, a Telangana policeman offered to help.

He took care of the baby while the mother wrote her exam.

IPS officer Rema Rajeswari shared a  heartwarming photograph of the cop trying to take care of baby outside the exam center

In a report published by NDTV, Rahman said,

“She brought the baby to the centre, and a 14-year-girl was made in charge. But the baby kept crying. So I tried to cheer him up”.

Father of two children, Rahman made sure that the child was taken care of. He made sure that the mother is comfortable and not worried about the baby while writing her paper.

Rehman also told the publication, “We are here to serve the public. We are here because of the public. Nothing is more important to me.”

Wish society could learn from Rehman and support the moms in fulfilling their dreams and ambition.

With such examples, we see a ray of hope that our countrymen will come forward to support moms. No country can make progress if the women are penalized for being a mom.
