Tough times are inevitable in life. But how we manage ourselves during these times not only defines our spirit but our future too.
Though many of us tend to blame our circumstances, very few gather the courage to fight those circumstances for their dreams.
15-year-old Roshni is one such brave soul. Irrespective of her tough financial backgrounds, this inspiring girl has shown the world that nothing is impossible.
Though Roshni was born in the family of a marginalized farmer, neither her financial condition nor the lack of infrastructure in the small village could stop her from achieving great heights.
With her determination and persistence, Roshni Bhadouriya has turned into a role model for many of us.
As per Times of India, Roshni Bhadouriya, a girl from a village in MP’s Bhind district has scored 98.5% in the state board Class 10 exams. She stands eighth on the merit list.
The 15-year-old lives in a village and how she fought the lack of infrastructure to turn her dream into a reality is quite inspirational. She would cycle to her school to Mehgaon town 12 km away, every day. Irrespective of scorching heat and heavy rains, this inspiring soul would cycle to reach her school everyday.
Recalling how there were days when she couldn’t return back home from school as the village roads would be flooded, she said,
“I’d have to spend the night at the house of my relative. Sometimes, it would be days before I could get back home,”
When Roshni was asked about her dreams, this inspiring soul said:
“I want to join the IAS. I want to be a collector. I am told that a collector can do a lot of good work. I don’t know much about it, but I’d like to be a collector and bring change.”
Roshni, who has scored a perfect 100/100 in mathematics and science, further added how she was always attentive in the class:
“I was always attentive in class and focused on writing exactly what I had learnt. I am thrilled to get such high marks,”
Roshni’s father, Purushottam Bhadouriya, is a 36-year-old farmer, who is blessed with 3 kids – Roshni and her two brothers. While sharing how proud he is of his daughter’s achievement, he said:
“All my children are good students, but this girl has made everyone proud. No one in these parts has ever scored such high marks,”.
Roshni’s father owns 4 acres of land and shares how hard it is to keep his three children in school. But still, he never considered the thought of putting a stop to their education.
“It is tough with three children in today’s world, but I will not let my family have any problem,”
“Besides, my kids are tough too.”
When asked about what he thinks about Roshni’s academic future, he further added,
“Of course I want her to continue studying. I want to see her get big degrees and work in big firms in big cities.”
While Roshni prepares to continue her journey towards becoming an IAS officer, we are in awe of her undying spirit. She continues to fights against her life circumstances to create a dignified life for herself.
At I FOR HER, we salute her determination, courage, and hard work. And hope her story would turn into an inspiration for thousands of parents and kids, who are struggling with their life challenges to turn dreams into reality.
