In the midst of so much negativity, here is a bit of positivity to cheer you up. In a positive viral post, a Twitter user name Aditi shared how her 71-year old father, who was a widower for 5 years, remarried another widow against all odds. She mentioned how they braved through the absence of legal rules in the country regarding remarriage, and several women who either ghosted him or asked him for money.
As per IndiaToday, Aditi mentioned how her father and his new wife had to face legal issues for remarrying.
“This is my 71-year-old father, remarrying after being a widow for 5 years, to another widow. I have always wanted him to remarry because no one deserves to be lonely,” Aditi captioned the post while sharing the photograph.
“But it has been complicated. There are no straight forward legal rules in India for remarrying. There were women who asked for money. There were women who ghosted him. We still don’t know if society will accept them. We still don’t know if they will adapt to each other,” she added.
In the picture, the newly wedded couple is seen wearing face masks while holding Varmalas in their hands.
It is amazing how many netizens came forward to celebrate this great news!

Good. Welcome your mother to new home. Both given life to each other.. Marriage is not just romance as per Indian family. It is more than that..He has a taken responsibility to look after her. Vice versa..
A society that expects you to be miserable and lonely because of ugly ‘rules and stigma’ attached to it isn’t worth stressing over. All that matters is his happiness. Thank you for sharing this and helping in normalizing re-marriages at an older age, this is truly beautiful ????
God bless you and your family. My dad passed away 4 years ago. My mom was only 58. I told her I will support her if she wishes to remarry. But she said no. Society still has a long way to go. May God give your family strength!
