In the middle of the saddening news of how India’s Betis are not safe in the country, people like Sonu Kumar Rajora bring hope for mankind.
In an inspiring act, Sonu Kumar carried a pregnant woman in his arms to the district hospital in Mathura as the ambulance failed to reach on time.
On September 14, 2018, policeman, Sonu Kumar saw some commotion at the railway station. On inquiring, he found out that a woman was undergoing labor pain at the station.
According to TOI, the woman is Bhavana, a resident of Ballabhgarh, and was traveling by train from Hathras to Faridabad with her husband, Mahesh. As she started having contractions on the train, the couple decided to step off from the train at the Mathura Cantonment Railway Station.
The couple requested many people to help them out but no one stepped forward. Kumar, who was on his way to the court, stepped forward to help the couple and called an ambulance.
After hours of waiting, when ambulance failed to reach, Kumar took the woman to the nearest medical facility on an e-rickshaw. Upon reaching there, the doctor told that Bhavna needs to be admitted. But, the hospital lacked the basic facilities like a stretcher.
Seeing the women’s deteriorating condition, Kumar, subsequently, carried her in his arms and took her to the district hospital.
