Kerala, like many other states of the country, is battling floods.
The state has been ravaged by heavy rains, and thousands of people have been shifted to relief camps. There is a dearth of food, clothes and basic sanitation.
In the midst of a shortage of food, clothes and basic sanitation, many people across the country are coming forward to help the state in fighting against one of the worst floods.
During such times many heartwarming acts of kindness have come to the light. One such incident is about Anas Asna.
Anas Asna is a native of Adoor town in Pathanamthitta, Kerala. During these tough times where everyone is trying to hold on to whatever they have, Anas has donated the money he was saving for the treatment of his son’s cancer treatment.
Many people noticed this great act of service when he posted about it on Facebook.
His Facebook post read,
“My son is getting admitted at the RCC again this coming Friday. My family is facing a financial crisis, but it is nothing when compared to the suffering of those who have lost everything in the deluge.
So we have decided to donate the amount we had saved for his treatment to the Chief Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund (CMDRF).
Our Kerala will overcome this crisis.”
It takes a lot of courage to prioritize the suffering of people over your own family and son.
Within no time, his post went viral. And, many people came forward to support his son’s treatment.
Some also mentioned that this noble cause will not be wasted. And, it will be brought to the attention of Kerala Health Minister KK Shailaja.
In tough times, when many people are losing their homes and livelihood, the act of kindness of Anas shows the power of humanity.
We pray for his son’s speedy recovery and hope more people will be inspired by his act of kindness, and come out to support fellow countrymen.
