As Breast cancer becomes the number one cancer among Indian females, no one can deny the dire need of building awareness around it.
But very few real heroes are working in that direction.
One such hero is our own Indian Cricket Team’s Skipper – Virat Kohli.
The whole world came to praise Virat Kohli when he walked out to bat in Sydney Test Match wearing pink gloves. Sydney Test also called Pink Test, is a part of the initiative taken by the McGrath Foundation to promote breast cancer awareness.
The McGrath Foundation was conceptualized in memory of Glenn McGrath’s wife Jane who lost the battle of life to this silent killer.
Kohli not only wore pink gloves but also had pink on his bat handle.
This beautiful gesture made us believe that not only is he a great player but also a great human being at heart. Fans across the world took Twitter to share their love for his gesture.

Don’t get surprised if you see multiple women donning Pink Saris in the ground. They might not have to do a lot with cricket but came there to contribute the objective of Breast Cancer Awareness on Jane McGrath Day.
We are extremely happy that this tournament has gone just beyond the sports. It became a medium for raising awareness to keep our families protected against the silent killer.
Help us honor those who are walking on the breast cancer journey by sharing the story of how you or someone you love has been affected by breast cancer. We will share these stories to encourage others facing breast cancer.
