In the midst of horrifying incidents of cab drivers assaulting women passengers, the story of Aarti Madhusudan is one of its kind.
You would be excited to know how Aarti went out of her way to help a hardworking cab driver in getting a good night’s rest.
In a heart-warming Facebook post, she shared how her Ola outstation driver, Elumalai, worked day and night to pay off loans to secure his kids’ future.
Madhusudhan wrote,
“He had driven that very morning from Tirupati and never refused any ride because of the loans he needed to pay off. We had booked our stay at the nicest hotel in the town.”
In awe of his determination and hard work, Madhusudan took an initiative to give a moment of comfort to Elumalai in his life struggle. She took the initiative to a book a room at the same hotel she was staying in.
She further mentioned in her post:
“The next morning I checked if his room was comfortable, if there was hot water, the fan worked, and invited him to have breakfast with us”
Touched by her kindness and humility, the cab driver broke down and said that it was the first good night’s sleep in weeks.
She concluded her post:
“We take ours for granted. To be able to be sensitive, kind…it’s a wonderful opportunity. I am grateful for the same and also that the hotel staff took a lot of care in ensuring that Elumalai was treated like any other customer of theirs. Because he was no different.”
I For Her salutes the kindness act of Aarti Madhusudan and thanks her for teaching us the most important lesson of how one act of kindness can bring hope and love to the world where humanity is being murdered every day.Â
