Does a GAME differentiate between the genders?
Does a JERSEY differentiate between men and women?
And, Does PASSION differentiate between the genders?
Then why do we?
We say we don’t differentiate between women and men. Then why the nation that breathes, eats and sleeps cricket doesn’t respond passionately to the game of women’s cricket team.
Recently, the Indian women’s cricket team has sealed its spot in the semifinals of the ICC Women’s World T20.
Though the nation might have ignored this great news some of the great players haven’t. In order to motivate the ‘Women In Blue’, Virat Kohli, the men’s cricket team captain has stared a social media campaign #JerseyKnowsNoGender.
After Kohli’s tweet, which said,
“We’re on our way to the semi-finals.. and it’s time to back Team India to bring home the World Cup! #JerseyKnowsNoGender. I nominate @RishabPant777, @NSaina, @chetrisunil11 and all of you to join in. Wear your jerseys and strike the pose to cheer them on! @Uber_India #WT20” many personalities replied and persuaded more people to join in.
