Tough times are inevitable in life. But how we manage ourselves during these times not only defines our spirit but our future too.
Though many of us tend to blame our circumstances, very few gather the courage to fight those circumstances for their dreams. Haritha and her parents are such brave souls.
Gummakunda Chennaiah’s joy knew no bounds when he came to know that his daughter Haritha secured a rank of 1187 in the JEE (Advanced) exams. According to TNIE, Chennaiah is a sanitation worker in Secundrabad. He further shares how he is proud of her daughter as she did something that nobody in his family has ever done.
On October 9, Haritha was felicitated by Secunderabad Cantonment Board CEO Ajith Reddy.
“I am happy that I could get free coaching for the JEE exam at my own school. My parents would not have been able to afford to send me to a normal coaching centre,”
She further added:
“I have three younger sisters. Despite our financial condition, my parents never discouraged us from studying more and aiming higher,” she added.
The journey of Haritha has been anything but easy. She studied at Telangana Social Welfare Residential School in Gowlidoddi. To turn her dream into reality, Haritha studied 16 hours a day to prepare for the exams.
As she didn’t have access to the internet, she had to wait for her teachers to inform her of the results. But how she overcame her challenges and infrastructure issues to turn her dream into reality is quite inspiring.
Expressing happiness about his daughter’s great achievement, the father mentioned:
“My wife and I are uneducated, but we always knew that our daughter was good at studies. When her teachers called us to inform the JEE result, it took us some time to comprehend what she had achieved,”
At I FOR HER, we salute Haritha’s determination, courage, and hard work. How she is fighting against her life circumstances to create a dignified life for herself is quite inspiring. We feel her story is the inspiration for thousands of parents and kids, who are struggling with their life challenges to turn dreams into reality.
