As her parents run a travel agency, for Lexie traveling has always been a big part of her life. She has now visited all 196 sovereign nations in the world. Lexie never had this planned early on in her life. Talking about her travels as a child, she says:

“Travel has been a part of my life since before I can remember. My parents would take me out of school and place me on independent study for weeks and months at a time every year.”

Learning lesson: don’t climb up anything you can’t get down, on and off the mountains

She further adds:

“My parents placed a lot of importance on exposing me to every way of life around the world and that had a very profound impact on the person I am today. I’ve always had a curiosity about other people’s ways of life and how they find happiness.”

Happiest in high places ✌????this was one of the most rewarding hikes of my life! I’ve always been a mountain enthusiast & Northern Pakistan has some of the most epic mountains in the world. Literally though, Pakistan is home to more than 100 peaks over 7000 meters (23,000 ft.)!???? In the top right corner of this photo you can start to see the summit of Nanga Parbat, also known as “Killer Mountain” because of the notoriously difficult climb. It’s the ninth highest mountain in the world at 26,660’. The first person to summit it wasn’t until 1953 and no one was able to summit it again for another 10 years. I didn’t realize there’s such a cool history left behind on these mountains by the crazy humans that are addicted to the thrill of being on top of the world ⚡️

Though Lexie wasn’t running after achieving the title, she further added,

“Honestly, in the beginning, I simply wanted to push the limits of what I thought I could do with my life and see as much of the world as possible in the process. It wasn’t until things started getting really challenging that I realized I was inspiring people around me, especially young women. Feeling that support meant that I couldn’t give up when things got tough. I was determined to show everyone that the world isn’t as scary as the media portrays it to be and that there’s kindness everywhere.”

ADVENTURE UPDATE ????⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I’ve officially made it to 191/196 countries!! I turn 21 years old in two weeks so I still have over 3 years to break the Guinness World Record but I’m planning on finishing up as soon as possible. There’s good news & bad news. The good news is that after 6 months, I finally got my visa for Pakistan! Bad news is that it’s going to be very difficult for me to find my way into North Korea right now because I’m an American. Nonetheless, where there’s a will there’s a way and finally making it into the 190s has made me more motivated than ever to SMASH this record! (& I’m so ready to move on with my life it’s been over 2 yrs????????) Also for those of you wondering my last 5 countries are Pakistan, Syria, Cape Verde, Guinea Bissau and North Korea.
