10-year-old Saanvi M Prajit has recently made us proud as she entered both the Asia Book of Records and India Book of Records in cookery.
Currently, a student of Class 6th, Saanvi Prajit has achieved a great milestone in her life. This little chef has entered the Asia Book of Records as well as India Book of Records in cookery for cooking 33 dishes in 60 minutes.
She cooked as many as 33 food items including idly, waffle, corn fritters, uthappam, paneer tikka, egg bull eye, sandwich, ‘Papdi’ chat, fried rice, chicken roast, pancake, appam, and mushroom tikka in just one hour!
The Little Chef Is Inspired By Her Mother
Sanvi’s mother Manjima is a star chef and a reality cookery show finalist. Inspired by her mother HK Manjma who also cooks for television shows, Saanvi started cooking at a very early age alongside her mother and grandparents.
Saanvi shared how watching her mother HK Manjma, a corporate trainer, a chef, and a Bharatanatyam dancer, cooking for the television shows in a Malayalam channel, fuelled her interest in cooking.
But her parents did not expect her to do it so early. Wing Commander Prajit Babu, fighter pilot in Indian Air Force, and a proud father shared:
“Initially, she began experimenting with sandwiches and items that do not require a gas stove to cook. At the age of five, she did ‘Ada Payasam’, a dessert popular in Kerala, for a cookery show,”
While sharing how her daughter wrapped up 33 dishes in an hour without getting tense, Manjma mentioned:
“She actually did it very efficiently without getting tense. The earlier record was 18 dishes and she just had to cross that. But much to our surprise, she was able to prepare 33 items in both vegetarian and non-vegetarian sections,”
Saanvi also participated in Children’s Cookery shows and won acclaim for her effort in the culinary field. She has a YouTube channel, Saanvi ‘Cloud 9’, showcasing her attempts in cooking simple and tasty dishes.
At IFORHER, we are in awe of Saanvi’s great achievement and wish her luck for her future endeavors. Hope she will keep inspiring us!
