As many of us are struggling with various tough life circumstances due to the COVID-19 pandemic, here’s an inspiring story that would bring a smile to your face.
Daughters are truly priceless! Though society may be unfair to daughters, some of them are leaving no stone unturned to make their parents proud. They are showing the society that they are not less than anyone.
One such daughter is Aanchal Gangwal, who fought against her life circumstances to make her parents proud.
In an inspiring incident, a tea seller’s daughter, Aanchal Gangwal made not only her father proud but also many of us as she bagged the President’s Plaque at the combined graduation parade held at the Air Force Academy in Hyderabad.
On Saturday, Flying Officer Aanchal Gangwal got commissioned in the presence of IAF chief BKS Bhadauria. Realizing how long and difficult her journey has been, Aanchal said:
“I used to dream of this day almost every night. To stand in my uniform, in front of my father and mother, who have fought all the difficulties in their lives to get me here.”
Today as I become an officer, it still feels surreal. It is a dream come true.

Realizing how his daughter fought against life circumstances to create a life worth inspiring others, Suresh Gangwal, Aanchal’s father was in tears after watching her graduation ceremony on TV.
This 23-year-old inspiring woman has worked really hard to turn her dreams into a reality. Aanchal holds a Computer Science graduation degree from a college in Neemuch. Post her graduation, she went on to work as a sub-inspector in the Madhya Pradesh police department.
After working for 8 months, Aanchal quit her job to prepare for joining defense forces. After her graduation, she also appeared for AFCAT and got recommended in SSB in her sixth attempt.
But, it wasn’t only Aanchal’s determination that helped her in achieving this milestone. She recalls how her parents turned into a pillar of strength and made sure that they support her and her two siblings with all the necessary amenities. She mentioned:
When I told my parents that I want to be in defense, they were a little worried like any parent. But they never tried to stop me. In fact, they have always been the pillars of my life.
On her great achievement, many netizens came forward to not only congratulate Aanchal but also her parents:
