Tragic news strikes as renowned actor Nitesh Pandey passes away at the age of 51. According to ETimes, Nitesh suffered a major cardiac arrest around 2 am in Igatpuri near Nashik, where he was present for a shoot. The beloved Anupamaa actor portrayed the character of Dheeraj Kumar in the popular Indian TV daily soap.
Hailing from Uttarakhand’s Almora Kumaon, Nitesh was married to actress Arpita Pandey, whom he met on the sets of the TV show “Justajoo.” The couple exchanged vows in 2003. It is worth mentioning that Nitesh was previously married to actress Ashwini Kalsekar. With a career spanning over 25 years, Nitesh made significant contributions to the entertainment industry. In fact, he established his own production house named Dream Castle Productions, specializing in radio shows.
Tragically, Nitesh Pandey’s untimely demise at the age of 51 due to a cardiac arrest has left his family, fans, and the industry in mourning. Confirming the heartbreaking news, Nitesh’s brother-in-law, Producer Siddharth Nagar, expressed his shock and sorrow. He shared that Nitesh’s father had gone to Igatpuri to bring back his mortal remains. The news has left the entire family in a state of numbness, with Siddharth rushing to be by their side.
Nitesh’s brother-in-law, Producer Siddharth Nagar, confirmed the news to ETimes and shared, “Yes you have heard it right. My brother-in-law is no more, my sister Arpita Pandey is in a state of shock. Nitesh’s father has left for Igatpuri to get his mortal remains. They should be here by the afternoon..We have gone absolutely numb, I have not been able to even talk to Arpita after the tragedy.”
He further added, “I am headed to Igatpuri as well, I am in the train right now. I was coming back from Delhi when I heard about this. Nitesh was much younger than me. He was a very lively person and I don’t think he had a history of any heart ailment.”
Nitesh Pandey, who began his career in theater in 1990, made a notable mark in the entertainment industry. Apart from his role as SRK’s assistant in “Om Shanti Om,” he appeared in various shows like “Manzilein Apani Apani,” “Astitva…Ek Prem Kahani,” “Saaya,” “Justajoo,” and “Durgesh Nandini.” Nitesh also ventured into films, including “Dabangg 2” and “Khosla Ka Ghosla.” He was a vibrant personality who will be deeply missed.
