Actor Palak Tiwari, daughter of the famous television actress Shweta Tiwari, is ready to make her Bollywood debut in Salman Khan’s movie ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’. Recently, the actress Palak Tiwari revealed an interesting rule followed by Salman Khan on the movie sets that left the internet shocked. According to Palak, the superstar believes that all the female actors on set should be covered, irrespective of what the scene demands. Palak who rose to tremendous stardom with Harrdy Sandhu’s Bijlee Bijlee music video also revealed how her mother also got concerned after seeing her daughter going to work fully covered up.
While describing how her mother was calm throughout the shooting for Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan because of Salman Khan’s dress rule, Palak said, “Like every desi mother ever, she has always been very critical of what I wear. When I was AD-ing (assistant directing) with Salman sir on Antim, not many people know this, Salman sir had a rule: ‘Koi bhi ladki mere set pe ho, the neckline should be here. All the girls should be covered, like good proper girls’. My mom saw me wearing a full tee and jogger, fully covered and going to set and she was like ‘how you are dressed so well?’ I told her ‘Salman sir ke set pe rule hai and she was like ‘wow! Very good’.”
While explaining Salman’s dress code, Palak said, “He’s a traditionalist. Of course, he’s like, ‘Jo pehenna hai pehno,’ but he’s also like my girls should always be protected. If there are men around who he doesn’t personally know, it’s not his personal space where he doesn’t trust everyone, he’s like, the girl should be safe, always.”

This rule hasn’t sat well with the netizens. Many netizens came forward to share their thoughts:
One user wrote, “Traditionalist or mysoginist.” Other user wrote, “Wow I wonder if he sat all the guys on the set down and told them to just not harass women? And please stop spreading the delusion that if you cover up you are safe from harassment.”
A netizen wrote, “Look at the girl!!! Again a Dumbo…Host knows she is dragging instead of bragging. Just because he is Salman khan, it’s okay to take that covered girl are safe, good, proper girl..If some uncle in 50s have said that, her mother start being Mother Teresa. All these nepo high or low are same dumbass, no wonder they jam together.” Someone wrote, “I lose my braincells everytime she opens her mouth.”
A user wrote, “First Salman and now also his cronies are talking shit. Ye statements movie promotion ke liye hain, ya boycott gang ko khush karne ke liye? Although not doubting what she’s saying is the truth. Bollywood at times is more regressive than the common folks.”
Another user mentioned, “Or tell men to NOT prey on women and do not pass lecherous looks or remarks at a workplace.. But i guess thats unachievable..So ask women to cover up!” A user mentioned, “being patriarch”!
Someone wrote,“Or you could ensure men don’t leer at women and act responsibly on set!!!?! The pressure to conform always lands on women instead of getting men to change their perception/behaviour towards women.” Calling out the double standards, a user wrote, “Where was this rule when Malaika bhabhi was doing Munni badnaam?”
