Netizens were left angry and disgusted after Alia Bhatt, a prominent Bollywood actress, shared a set of statements about her spouse – Ranbir Kapoor – during a makeup tutorial video. The actress unveiled her beauty regimen through a video collaboration with the esteemed fashion magazine Vogue India. In this tutorial, she revealed an unconventional technique for applying lipstick, which involved applying it and then partially removing it.
The actress shared, “After applying the lipstick, I rub it off because, one thing, my husband, when he wasn’t my husband, when he was my boyfriend as well, and we used to go out, he used to be like, ‘Wipe that off’, because he loves the natural colour of my lips.”
Angry netizens took to the comments section to slam Ranbir for his alleged ‘controlling’ behaviour and labelled him as a ‘controlling husband’. Some fans also shared their disbelief about what Alia, one of the most celebrated actresses in India was ‘going through’.
Here are some of the reactions how people reacted to the video:

“The more I listen about Ranbir Kapoor the more I feel scared for her. If your bf/husband is telling you to wipe your lipstick that the biggest sign for you to run! It is not cute or funny at all! Can not believe the most celebrated actress at this moment of India is going through this,” the fan commented.
“Controlling Husband is always a RED FLAG,” wrote a netizen. Another netizen commented, “You need to wipe off this futile Relationship and not lipstick.””Alia is determined to prove Ranbir is a red flag in every interview. Love the consistency.”, wrote someone.
“I would never allow a guy who asks me to wipe off my lipstick anywhere close to me,” wrote one. Some people were also tired of Alia bringing up her wedding and husband so often in interviews, “My husband, my wedding – gurrllll catch a breath. It’s not cute anymore. Does she really have nothing substantial to talk about? And literally anything she says about Ranbir just portrays him as such an unlikable personality. This PR needs to stop ASAP! Focus on your acting career bro. Your wedding was amazing but it’s about time you MOVE ON,” read a comment.
Here are some more reactions – “If she had just said “he loves my natural lip colour”, it would’ve still been okay. But what is this “wipe it off”?””I like how naive she is and always exposes Ranbir’s toxic behaviour unironically lol”
“Doesn’t let her raise her voice when she is angry…Doesn’t let her wear make-up of her own choice… Remind me again how he is a catch. He’s so controlling under the guise of being loving but I like how Alia inadvertently keeps exposing him.” “My husband doesn’t like when my voice goes up. My husband doesn’t like my lipstick. Girl do you realise your husband sounds like a narcissistic piece of work” “She is herself exposing him”
Earlier, Alia and Ranbir faced similar comments when during an interview she said that Ranbir ‘doesn’t like’ her raising her voice during arguments. “I have to try very hard to control my anger because my husband does not like (it) when my voice goes above this decibel. Because he thinks it’s not fair and it’s important to be kind even when you are unhappy,” she had told Vice.
