Recently, Askshay Kumar’s new song Kudiyee Ni Teri from Selfie hit the internet. In the song, Akshay Kumar could be seen romancing Mrunal Thakur, who is 25 years younger than him. While some loved the song, there were many who took to social media to express their disgust.

As per the sources, Mrunal Thakur is playing a cameo role in Selfie. Sharing details about shooting for song opposite Akshay, she said, “I had a blast shooting for the song. Haven’t done something like this earlier and the vibe on the set was super fun and peppy, much like the number itself. Shot for a few days for the song and it was a special experience. I’m excited to see the audience’s reaction to the song.”
This is not the first time Akshay has been criticized for romancing women way younger than him. In the past aswell, he has been brutally criticized for romancing Manushi Chillar, who was half his age in Prithviraj Chauhan!
Selfiee, which also stars Emraan Hashmi, Nushrratt Bharuccha and Diana Penty, is the Hindi remake of the Malayalam movie Driving Licence, which starred Prithviraj Sukumaran and Suraj Venjaramoodu. The movie is one of the most awaited movies of 2023 and set to be released in theatres on Feb 24.
