For those unfamiliar, many reports claim that Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif were close friends until shortly before Alia began dating Ranbir Kapoor. Many have expressed concern, stating that dating your best friend’s ex is a big no-no!
While sharing the photo of the two actresses from Katrina’s Christmas party, a Reddit user wrote:

While commenting on the photo, a user wrote, “With cheaters, you lose them how you get them. Ranbir is the common denominator in all these. But with Katrina and Deepika, they weren’t friends. Alia pretended to be a wolf in sheep’s clothing for Katrina. Kind of like Cassie from Euphoria. You don’t date your good friend’s long term ex, especially if they have broken up less than a year before.”
Someone wrote, “Five days after meeting her and being all chummy with her, she goes and dates her ex lol. How do you even explain that? I mean, I understand they broke up in 2016 and it’s a known fact about Alia’s obsession with him, but imagine straight after meeting her.”
While some came forward to defend Alia Bhatt by pointing out that Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif had broken up years before Alia dated him, unfortunately, many called them out as they believed dating your friend’s ex was off-limits.
