2020 was really a tough year for everyone around the world. The pandemic horror brought lockdowns to our lives that we can never ever forget. While lockdowns were difficult for everyone, they were most difficult for the migrant workers.
Capturing the plight of these migrant workers during the lockdown, Anubhav Sinha has made a film called Bheed. The movie stars Rajkummar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar in lead roles.
Recently, the Bheed trailer was released and it has given people goosebumps. In case you haven’t watched it yet, here it is.
While sharing the trailer of the movie, the filmmaker mentioned, “Hum kahaani bata rahe hai uss waqt ki jab batwara desh mein nahi, samaaj mein hua tha. #Bheed, a story of the darkest times, in black and white. Releasing in cinemas on 24th March 2023,”
Looks like the teaser of Anubhav Sinha’s #Bheed, on the forced exodus of millions of working class Indians during the pandemic, has ruffled some feathers. Bolly “trade analysts/journos” are all tweeting against the movie, as if they all got orders from the top. pic.twitter.com/tOEApp21qR
When the trailer of #Thappad was released, some trade people said “ye ghar todne waali film hai”. But the film was actually a wise and hard-hitting take on a pertinent issue. Similarly, I feel #AnubhavSinha’s #BHEED has much more to it. Will comment only after watching the film.
Its a good feeling always when you find out that actors like Virendra Saxena, who has been for so long in the industry with some great performances, gets featured on the credits of the trailer. Before bigger names nd a solo credit. 👏😊 #Bheed#anubhavsinhapic.twitter.com/uKzV841mru
