Amazon Prime Video has acquired the post-theatrical streaming rights for the film Bholaa. The movie is now available for rent on Amazon Prime for Rs. 399 and will soon be available for streaming to subscribers. This follows a similar strategy that Amazon Prime adopted for the release of Ajay Devgn’s Drishyam 2, which was first made available to rent on the platform before being made available for streaming. According to the Economic Times, the streaming rights for Drishyam 2 were sold to Amazon Prime Video for a reported sum of Rs. 30-40 crore.Â
Bholaa Plot
The plot of the movie centers around Bholaa, a former prisoner who is offered a chance to see his daughter again after serving ten years in jail. To earn his freedom, he must transport a truck full of poisoned police officers to the hospital while facing off against dangerous criminals.
