Recently, many big-budget star-studded movies have flopped miserably at the box office. Be it Akshay’s Samrat Prithviraj, Ranbir’s Shamshera, or Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha, the movies have become the target of the boycott trend that many felt contributed to their disappointing performances at the box office.
And, now Ranbir Kapoor & Alia Bhatt-starrer Brahamastra is the latest victim of the trend. From Ranbir calling himself a beef lover to Alia Bhatt asking people not to watch her films if they don’t like her, there are many reasons why people are asking to boycott the movie. Here are some of them:
Ranbir Kapoor’s statement on beef
Recently, an old video of Ranbir Kapoor talking about his love for beef went viral. The video is from the time when Kapoor was promoting Imtiaz Ali’s Rockstar. In the video, he talks about his love for food and admits that he likes beef.

Ranbir Kapoor’s role In PK

Alia Bhatt’s statement on nepotism
A few days back, Alia Bhatt’s interview clip went viral. In response to a question about nepotism, she said: “if you don’t like me, don’t watch me”. From calling her delusional to arrogant, many called for the boycott of her upcoming movie – Brahmastra.

“If you don’t like me, don’t watch me” says Alia Bhatt during a promotion for her movie ‘Brahmastra.’ Audiences decide what they will see. They don’t need to be told. Not a shred of humility. Just sheer arrogance. One of the many reasons this industry is being boycotted.

Karan Johar’s promotion of star kids
After the sudden death of Sushant Singh Rajput, many called out Karan Johar for promoting star kids and sabotaging the careers of outsiders. And, that’s another reason why people like to boycott Brahmastra.
