Following the disappointment of Adipurush, there is now a buzz of anticipation for Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana. Although the cast has not been officially announced, rumors were circulating that Ranbir Kapoor is set to portray Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita.
Besides Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi, it was rumored that Sunny Deol may take on the role of Lord Hanuman, Vijay Sethupathi may play Vibhishan and Bobby Deol is likely to portray Kumbhakarn.
But, recently, reports suggest that Janhvi Kapoor is being considered for the role of Sita in Nitesh Tiwari’s upcoming Ramayana adaptation. According to recent updates, it appears that Janhvi Kapoor has taken over the role of Sita, replacing Sai Pallavi whose name was previously circulating for the part.
Although there hasn’t been an official confirmation yet, many took to social media to express their discontent with this news.
While commenting on the news, one user wrote, “My wall clock has more expressions than Janhvi Kapoor.” Someone wrote, “They can play whoever they want and can also watch the movie among themselves. Aapas mai banao movie aur aapas mai dekho. We do not want another Adipurush please.” Another user wrote,”She would best suit for Surpanakha.”
Someone wrote, “There were news that the shooting had already started with Sai Pallavi.If this news is indeed true then that’s worse that they onboarded Jhanvi at this point. This sadly is what nepotism is about…not just being presented with the best opportunities but also snatching away other’s.”
