Recently, the Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt-starrer ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’ was released on Amazon Prime. Almost immediately, people took to social media to express their disappointment with the film, citing its unnecessary glorification of adultery.
The primary point of discussion surrounding the movie has been the love story of Dharmendra and Shabana Azmi’s characters, who play the grandparents of Ranveer and Alia. Even now, this aspect continues to generate conversations, with a portion of the audience finding Dharmendra’s character’s extramarital affair objectionable.
From the glorification of cheating in relationships to an unnecessary on-screen kiss between veteran actors Dharmendra and Shabana Azmi, netizens criticized Karan Johar for what they perceived as an obsession with adultery.
