Main Vaapas Aaunga follows Nirvair, played by Diljit Dosanjh, who returns home to spend time with his ageing grandfather, Ishar, before his health deteriorates further.
While revisiting fragmented memories from his younger days, Ishar reveals that he is still carrying an unfulfilled promise connected to Jiya, the mysterious love of his life. Sharvari plays Jiya, while Naseeruddin Shah and Vedang Raina portray Ishar at different stages of his life.
Determined to help his grandfather find peace, Nirvair begins investigating Ishar’s past and the circumstances that separated him from Jiya. His search gradually uncovers a deeply personal love story shaped by Partition, displacement and painful decisions made several decades earlier.
