Recently, one of the most awaited OTT movies of the year, ‘Murder Mubarak’, landed on Netflix. Based on Anuja Chauhan’s novel ‘Club You to Death’, ‘Murder Mubarak’ promised audiences a gripping murder mystery set amidst the social elite of New Delhi. The story follows ACP Bhavani Singh, portrayed by the talented Pankaj Tripathi, as he investigates a series of murders that unveil dark secrets within the Royal Delhi Club.
Even though the movie boasts a stellar cast alongside veteran actors Dimple Kapadia, Karishma Kapoor, Vijay Varma, Sanjay Kapoor, the film fails miserably. Here are five things that we hated about ‘Murder Mubarak’ as we watched it on Netflix:
1. Wasted So Much Of Talent
Despite assembling a star-studded cast, including the likes of Dimple Kapadia, Karisma Kapoor, and Pankaj Tripathi, Murder Mubarak fails to harness their potential, leaving viewers yearning for more substance and depth in their performances. 2. Sara Ali Khan Can’t Act
Sara Ali Khan’s performance in Murder Mubarak falls flat, lacking the finesse and depth needed to breathe life into this complex yet most important character. Unfortunately, her portrayal feels uninspired and fails to resonate on an emotional level. (Also Read: What fans have to say about Sara Ali Khan’s Performance in Murder Mubarak)
3. Dragged in Parts
Murder Mubarak suffers from pacing issues, with certain scenes unnecessarily prolonged and stretched out. This sluggish tempo leads to moments of disengagement and monotony, detracting from the overall viewing experience.
4. Screenplay and Character Development
The film’s screenplay lacks finesse, failing to fully flesh out its characters and letting the audience attach to the characters. The frequent switching of frames and shallow narrative depth results in unconvincing character arcs and plot developments, leaving audiences craving more substance and complexity.
5. Straightforward Story with Little Suspense
Murder Mubarak’s plot unfolds in a disappointingly predictable manner, devoid of the twists and turns expected of a gripping murder mystery. The lack of suspense and intrigue makes it all too easy for viewers to anticipate the outcome long before the climax, ultimately leaving them underwhelmed and dissatisfied.
