Recently, the audience has been vocal about boycotting movies for different reasons. In recent times, the audience has called for a boycott of Aamir Khan’s film Laal Singh Chaddha and Akshay Kumar’s Raksha Bandhan. And, unfortunately, the movies suffered miserably at the box office.
While opening up about the boycott trend in Bollywood, the filmmaker Anurag Kashyap and Taapsee Pannu shared that they feel left out of the boycott trend. And, they would like to be in the same league as that of Aamir Khan and Akshay Kumar.

“I am feeling left out. Even I want ki meri film boycott karo…please make our film trend on Twitter by boycotting,” Anurag Kashyap said during an interaction with Siddharth Kanan. Taapsee Pannu too added, ” Yes please boycott Dobaaraa trend karva do…we also want to trend on Twitter.”
The statement left netizens disgusted as the internet felt that the actress and director mocked the audience’s calls to boycott movies. Netizens took the pledge to fulfill Taapsee and Anurag’s #Boycott wish. Many on social media have come together to call for a boycott of the film completely.
Now, netizens have started trending #BoycottDobaaraa on social media. Dobaara, starring Taapsee Pannu became the current movie to face boycott calls amid the rising trend on social media platforms.

Public has accepted the Challenge 🔥. Now u see anurag and taapsee how your film gets flopped.” Another wrote, “They’re faking to be cool with the #BoycottBollywood but dying a million deaths internally. They were feeling left out & wanted to trend. Lo trend karte hai #BoycottDobaara. They are Rabid Hindu Haters. Anurag Kashyap is next level. Hypocrite Taapsee Pannu needs no introduction.” One user wrote, “If anyone thought that #BoycottBollywood is just an social media trend on Twitter then you are so wrong. No amount of trends can make Boycott successful if it doesn’t have ground support. How can you win against this #BoycottLalSinghChaddha #BoycottDobaara #ArjunKapoor,”

Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha and Akshay Kumar’s face the brunt of boycott calls, it looks like Taapsee’s movie is also heading the same way. As per many sources, ‘Dobaara’, which was released on Friday, got a very poor opening on the first day. Many shows of the film had to be canceled due to a lack of audience.
Not just Taapsee Pannu or Anurag Kashyap, recently, Arjun Kapoor also made a stupid statement about boycott calls. Rather than respecting audience views, he asked Bollywood to take a stand against boycott calls.
Rather than making stupid and senseless statements to irk the audience, it’s high time that Bollywood should start focusing on making good movies. What do you think about Bollywood’s senseless statements? Tell us in the comments below.
