Miss Barbados 2000 who is now YouTuber, Leilani McConneyhas said that Miss World 2000 was rigged and that Priyanka Chopra won the contest because of ‘favoritism’.

On her YouTube channel, which has 35K subscribers, Leilani McConney posted a video about Miss USA 2022 controversy. For the unversed, many contestants have alleged that the Miss USA 2022 contest was rigged. Post the allegations, investigations are being made and people are also being sacked. She further revealed that Miss World 2000 was rigged too.
She further added that Miss World 1999 and 2000 were from India because the Indian company Zee TV sponsored it.
While sharing the details she said, “I literally went through the same thing at Miss World. I was Miss Barbados, and the year I went, Miss India won. Mind you, Miss India had won the previous year (Yukta Mookhey), the sponsor was also ZeeTV, and Indian cable station. Our sashes had ZeeTV on top and then the names of our countries. This is very familiar to me,”
She added that Priyanka Chopra was favored on many different occasions.
From her gown being better made to getting food in her own room to getting large pictures in newspapers while the other girls were bunched together on a beach, she claimed PC was favored. She also said that PC got to wear a sarong for the swimsuit competition, while others were not allowed to wear it.
“…She was using some skin tone cream, to even out her skin tone and it was splotchy. I did not say it was a bleaching cream, it was a skin-tone cream. It didn’t work, her skin was blotchy so she did not want to remove her sarong. So during the actual judgment, she is actually in a dress,” she added.
