The famous song – “Bas Itna Sa Khwab Hai” from ‘Yes Boss’ has an intense relationship with “Mannat”. Shahrukh didn’t own “Mannat” at the time “Yes Boss” was released. The year was 1997.

At that time, Shahrukh Khan was residing in an apartment at the time. He only had a desire of owning a home by the seaside. By some stroke of luck (and determination), he was able to purchase the very same home “Mannat” that featured in the song.
As Shah Rukh steps out in front of ‘Mannat’ singing the song ‘Bas Itna Sa Khwab Hai’, it seems that dreams genuinely do come true. That house may be seen in the background as King Khan dances to “Chaand Taare Tod Lau.”
According to the song ‘Bas Itna Sa Khwab Hai’, it is a chamatkar of some sort that every dreamer desire. ‘Main ban jaoon sabse bada, maan ja aye khuda, itni si hai dua. And, we must say, he became one!
The bungalow that later came to be known as “Mannat”, was formerly known as “Villa Vienna”. The villa was owned by Nariman. Shahrukh Khan purchased it from Nariman in 2001, gave it a fresh coat of paint, and changed its name.
According to sources, Shahrukh Khan purchased “Mannat” back then for around Rs 13.32 crore, and as of right now, its value is over Rs 200 crore.

Not just movies, there are many ads that were shot in Mannat. Yes, Shah Rukh Khan has appeared in several brand endorsements that were shot in “Mannat” As per some sources, during the pandemic, King Khan used to film at his house when all shooting—from movies to TV shows—was prohibited as a result of the lockdown.

Every year, on Shah Rukh’s birthday, thousands of fans gather outside Mannat to greet him. And, SRK standing in the famous balcony of “Mannat” while waving to his fans has become an annual ritual.
