Singer Abhijeet Bhattacharya has been famous for lending his voice to most of Shah Rukh Khan’s iconic songs, be it ‘Main Hoon Na,’ ‘Yes Boss,’ or ‘Chalte Chalte.’ Abhijeet’s vocals have added charm to SRK’s stardom, making them one of the most credible and iconic actor-singer duos in the 1990s and early 2000s.
Together, they delivered some of the most popular songs, including ‘Chaand Taare,’ ‘Chalte Chalte,’ ‘Hum To Deewane Hue,’ ‘Baadshah O Baadshah,’ ‘Zara Sa Jhoom Loon Main,’ and many more.

However, Abhijeet’s recent interview, where he referred to Shah Rukh Khan as ‘commercially selfish,’ left many shocked. This statement was particularly surprising as Shah Rukh Khan is widely known for his humility and kindness in Bollywood, earning him the title of ‘King Khan’ due to his generosity.
Despite showering praise on SRK, Abhijeet didn’t hesitate to point out Shah Rukh Khan’s pragmatic approach, suggesting a willingness to exploit others for his success. Discussing SRK’s commercial attitude, Abhijeet stated, ‘Ek do baar koshish kiya isko clear karne ke liye. Shah Rukh Khan is a very commercial person, very commercial. Woh apne success aur apne career ke liye kisi ko bhi side mein kar sakta hai. Woh use karega unko.’
Shah Rukh Khan & Abhijeet Conflict
The feud between Shah Rukh Khan and Abhijeet began in 2007, according to multiple sources, when the singer stopped lending his voice to SRK’s movies due to dissatisfaction with the lack of credit. Abhijeet explained, ‘In ‘Main Hoon Na,’ they showed everyone from a spot boy to everyone else, but the singers. The same thing happened with ‘Om Shanti Om.’ Stars sang ‘Dhoom Tana.’ It was my voice. But it wasn’t shown anywhere. The self-respect was hurt. Why should I ask them to add my name? The problem is I don’t lack anything. So why should I ask for this?’
Shah Rukh Khan, in the past, has been praised by many of his peers for his kind heart. Do you believe what Abhijeet had to say? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
