In response to this, many fans requested Rajamouli, “Please don’t support Bullywood.”
Dear Rajamouli, We are all boycotting Brahmastra just like we boycotted Laal Singh Chaddha. You’re welcome to join the boycott. But just remember that this video will be remembered by us and can even hamper your collections for your next movie. Staying silent is better. https://t.co/9sqfVCAz4B
Other user said, “Please don’t supposr Bullywood. U hv earned a good name so dont ruin it by associating with Bullywood. #BoycottBollwood will continue.. And yes, #BoycottBramhastra 🔥 too”. “We love Rajamouli’s movies but that doesn’t mean we will fall for this back door stunt by @karanjohar,” Twitter user said. A third user commented, “Sorry but we will not support a movie starring “Big Beef Guy” who mocks Mahaprabhu Jagannath & his co-star whose entire fam has been Anti Hindu & Anti India It is a shame u are associated with such a film Sir Moreover the name has been changed only to fool Hindus & entice them”.
Sharing the reason why SS Rajamouli is promoting Karan Johar-production, the famous director said, “I haven’t done so much for Brahmastra. The real reason I associated with Brahmastra was the story and the vision of Ayan Mukerji. When I see a good product coming, I feel I should do something for that.”
He further added, “Civilizations across the world were formed on the banks of the rivers. We started moving from South to North with our films like Baahubali and KGF. It’s time and I hope that the love starts flowing from North to South. We are a country and we have to make Indian films, not language films.”
Brahmastra made on a massive budget of 400 Crores is about to release on 9 September 2022.
