As far as Bollywood movies are concerned 2022 wasn’t a great year. And, so far, 2023 is also not turning that great. Except for Pathaan, The Kerala Story, and Tu Jhoothi Main Makaar, Gadar 2, OMG 2, many superstar-loaded movies fell flat at the box office and failed to impress the audience. But the coming months of 2023 look promising. Here is a list of upcoming movies of 2023 that we are really excited about.

1. Tiger 3
After two successful movies – Ek Tha Tiger (2012) and Tiger Zinda Hai (2017) under the Tiger franchise, the spy thriller is returning with a new sequel. Along with Salman Khan as Tiger and Katrina Kaif as Zoya, the new sequel will also star Emraan Hashmi in the negative role. The film produced under the Yash Raj Films banner is one of the most anticipated movies of 2023. The movie is expected to be released in theatres globally on November 10, 2023. 2. Jawan
Other than Pathan, Shah Rukh Khan will also be seen in Jawan. Along with Shah Rukh Khan, the movie also stars Nayanthara, Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani, Sunil Grover etc. Directed by Atlee, the movie will hit the theatres on 7th September, 2023.
3. Dream Girl 2
After the successful Dream Girl, Ayushmann Khurrana returns with the Dream Girl sequel. The movie is a delightful comedy-drama that stars Ananya Panday along with Ayushmann Khurrama. The movie revolves around Karam, played by Ayushmann, transforming into Pooja, creating further chaos in his already chaotic life. The movie explores the comedic and heartfelt moments as Karam navigates through his quest for love and the struggles he encounters along the way. The movie will be released in theatres on 25th August, 2023.
4. Animal
Animal is a gangster drama starring Ranbir Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor, and Bobby Deol in prominent roles. It is a drama directed by Sandeep Reddy and is expected to be released on 1st December 2023.

5. Fukrey 3
It is the third movie from the Fukrey series. Fukrey 3 stars Pulkit Samrat, Varun Sharma, Richa Chaddha, Manjot Singh, and Pankaj Tripathi in the lead roles. Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar’s Excel Entertainment shared the release date of Fukrey 3 i.e. on 7th September 2023.
6. Dunki

7. Sam Bahadur
Vicky Kaushal’s upcoming movie – ‘Sam Bahadur’ is based on the real-life hero – Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw. The movie is directed by talented Meghna Gulzar, who has given us hard-hitting movies like Raazi and Chappak. The movie is expected to release on 1st December 2023.
8. The Great Indian Rescue or Capsule Gill
Formerly known as “Capsule Gill”, “The Great Indian Rescue” is an upcoming Bollywood film that revolves around the real-life incident at Raniganj Coalfields, where 64 miners were trapped in coal mines located in West Bengal. The movie offers a poignant portrayal of the harrowing events and showcases the efforts made to rescue the trapped miners. It promises to be a compelling and emotionally charged cinematic experience, shedding light on the resilience and courage of those involved.
9. Merry Christmas
One of the most awaited movies of 2023 is Merry Christmas. The movie stars Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupatti in the lead roles. The plot revolves around two people when, on the eve of Christmas, their world turns upside down. The movie is expected to release on 15th December 2023.
10. SRI
SRI tells the inspiring story of Srikant Bolla, played by Rajkummar Rao, a renowned Indian entrepreneur who overcame visual impairment. Srikant, the founder of Bollant Industries, has made a notable mark in the business realm. His journey is even more remarkable as he became the first visually-impaired international student in Management Science at the esteemed Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). The movie is expected to be released on 15 September 2023.
