One of the finest Indian crime thrillers is Sushmita Sen’s Aarya. And, after two successful seasons, Aarya will return with another season. The story of Aarya revolves around Aarya Sareen, who is a caring mother and a loving wife. She is quite naïve however, and is unaware of the illegal business her husband is a part of. Things go bad for their family after Aarya’s husband Tej Sareen, a pharma baron, is mysteriously killed. The series was nominated for Best Drama Series at International Emmy Awards, and Sushmita won the Best Actress award at Filmfare OTT Awards 2021.
2. City of Dreams Season 3

The show’s first season came out in May 2019, followed by the sophomore installment in July 2021. City of Dreams follows the story of the feud within the Gaikwad family, which erupts after an assassination attempt on a polarising political figure.

The Good Wife is an upcoming Indian legal and political drama streaming television series on Disney+ Hotstar. It is an adaptation of Robert King and Michelle King’s The Good Wife, being directed by Suparn Verma and featuring Kajol in the lead role. The plot revolves around a housewife, who is forced to take full responsibility for her family after her husband is imprisoned over a corruption and sex scandal.
4. Maharana

The stories of one of the bravest kings in India ‘Maharana Pratap’ have been adapted several times on television and in films. Now, Disney+Hotstar is all set to narrate the tale of Maharana Pratap. The web series titled ‘Maharana’ will stream on Disney+Hotstar and is currently in the production stage. Actor Gurmeet Choudhary will headline the upcoming Disney+ Hotstar series “Maharana”. Ridhima Pandit, Ashwini Bhave, Surendra Pal, Danish Bhat, Prithvi Hatte and Mahesh Kale will also feature in critical roles.
5. Lootere
Cast: Rajat Kapoor, Vivek Gomber, Amruta Khanvilkar,

Helmed by Hansal Mehta’s son Jai Mehta, Lootere features an ensemble cast of Rajat Kapoor, Vivek Gomber, Amruta Khanvilkar, Gaurav Sharma, Chandan Roy Sanyal and Preetika Chawla. It revolves around the lives of The Jadhavs, who migrated from Bihar to Molo in Kenya but were caught in the fierce ethnic conflicts in the country. The story is set off the coast of Somalia where passengers of the ship are taken hostages by pirates. Therefore, someone from the passengers must step up to save co-passengers from the unfortunate event. Though the story is fictional, it is inspired by real events.
While talking about the series, Hansal Mehta said, “Lootere explores a story of the survival and struggle of a crew of a merchant ship at a time when hope is blurring. We are excited to bring this thrilling story to the audience very soon,”
