He is also the co-writer and co-producer of Amazon Prime Video’s recently released romantic series “Modern Love: Mumbai.” Mehta has now joined forces with popular streaming platform Netflix for the first time in his career to create his upcoming character drama series titled “Scoop.” The series is based on crime journalist Jigna Vora’s biographical book “Behind The Bars In Byculla: My Days in Prison,” announced in February 2022. Reportedly, actress Karishma Tanna has been cast in the lead role for “Scoop,” portraying the ambitious crime journalist Jagruti Pathak, inspired by Vora’s character.
