With every passing day, Indian women are raising their voices against sexual assault. Not being scared of what people will say or how society will criticize her character, she is not only raising her voice but also fighting against the predators of sexual harassment.
Recently, as per India Today, a brave woman did something extraordinary. She made a bus conductor do sit-ups in full public glare for allegedly misbehaving with her in a running bus in Odisha’s Angul district on Monday.
According to reports, the conductor of ‘Sri Ram Bus’ touched the woman inappropriately while collecting tickets inside the bus.
The woman boarded the bus, that was heading to Athmallik from Angul town. As the bus reached its destination, the victim raised her voice against the culprit. In a video that went viral, one can hear a woman shouting at the conductor and asking him to do sit-ups while holding both of his ears at the bus stand. She can also be seen saying that only after situps would she will let him go.
She also threatened the conductor that she would file a police complaint if he failed to do so. Post which, the conductor did sit-ups and the entire incident was recorded by passersby.
Over the past few years, sexual harassment cases are at a rampant increase. Tired of sexual assaults, many women have started raising their voices so that they not only punish their culprits but also leave a better society for the coming generations.
