It is amazing how the internet has the power to change the lives of people beyond imagination. Recently it happened with an elderly couple who run a small food joint – Baba ka Dhaba in Delhi’s Malviya Nagar.
For over 30 years now, 80-year-old Kanta Prasad and his wife have been running ‘Baba Ka Dhaba’. But because of COVID, they had little to no customers, which made it difficult for them to make ends meet.
But things changed for them when their story was first shared by a YouTuber Gaurav Wasan on his channel Swad Official and Instagram. Gaurav recorded the video to raise funds for the couple so that they can get help.
The couple serves delicious meals priced between ₹30-50. With more than half of their cooked food still remaining, the couple had just earned ₹70 till the afternoon.

In no time, the video went viral across social media platforms including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube. Netizens across the country, including celebrities, came forward to help the couple.
