Internet is celebrating as Parag Agrawal, an IIT-Bombay alumnus is replacing Jack Dorsey, Twitter’s co-founder, as Twitter’s new CEO. After CEOs of Indian origin took over Google, Microsoft, Adobe, IBM among other majors, a new name has been added to the list.
“With pride, we present to you Parag Agrawal, an IIT-Bombay alumnus and the current CEO of Twitter. Replacing Jack Dorsey, Twitter’s co-founder and former CEO, the Indian-American has added another Indian name to the list of global business leaders.” as stated by Times of India
The whole internet went bizarre when Jack tweeted a screenshot of his resignation email that he’d written to the company. In his email, he mentioned that he trusted Chief Technical Officer (CTO) Parag Agrawal and would help him with the transition.
In a tweet expressing his gratitude towards Jack and announcing his new post at the San Francisco-based company, Agrawal penned, “I am honoured and humbled. And I’m grateful for your continued mentorship and your friendship. I’m grateful for the service that you built, the culture, soul, and purpose you fostered among us, and for leading the company through really significant challenges.”
